insecurities

Note to former Org members

Insecurities.org is a domain with a history. I'm a (very small) part of that history myself, having had an email forwarding account here for lo very many years, but that was pretty much all i ever did here. I never had any very close interactions with any of the other folks who were insecurities.org, except Eq, and him only barely and long ago.

But that doesn't mean i want that history to be forgotten, necessarily. If you've had an account at — or, really, anything at all to do with — insecurities before, feel free to contact me (lynx) and tell your story. I can set you up with an account here, if you want one, or just lend an archivist's ear to your tales of who and what's been insecure in days gone by. I'm a sucker for sentimental, nostalgic stuff like that.

Oldbies always welcome, in other words. The virtual pub is open.

Apologies are in order

My apologies to Eq and euclid for taking unforgivably long to approve their comments. I plead stupidity — I wasn't watching the right part of Drupal's administrivial UI, and wasn't getting sent emails about things that needed my attention, either. I found out the hard way, and pledge to do better in the future.

spam

for a domain that's been around so many years, insecurities.org gets remarkably little junk mail. only a handful of emails daily.

Front Page

No, i won't apologize for the front page's content being considerably shorter than the stylesheet used to display it. I just won't, and you'll just have to deal with that.

Learning Drupal

This site's slowly growing up as i learn how to configure Drupal better. Still much to do, though, and the byzantine permissions system isn't helping me climb the learning curve.

I've got a "primary links" menu enabled that looks really nice — if you're logged in. I want to enable it for everybody, even anonymous guests with no user account. How to do it? Still learning...
